Ilya stares at him for a second. His lips are thin, and his eyes, angry and hurt. He nods, though. Before he leaves the table, he actually looks at Jackie. “I’m very sorry, Jackie. The food was fantastic. Sad you didn’t find a better player to marry.”
“Ilya, for fuck’s sake, stop it.”
“Yes, Rozanov, leave my wife out of this.”
“You are no one to talk, Hayden. You have no idea how hard it was. Using the worst of our situation to get back at him for being there for me in a way that you couldn’t is not fair at all. You can be a fucking asshole too, you know?”--
A disastrous dinner with Hayden leaves Ilya insecure and hurt. It's Shane's job to pick up the pieces and remind Ilya who he is.

Summary
It’s just something else on top of everything that’s going on. The light in the room is still dim, the cigarette in his mouth unlit, his hands slack at his sides. It had been going so well before tonight. Ilya had been able to ignore Hollander’s text for months after the moment he talked to him in Sochi. But he had underestimated the way his body would react to the proximity of Hollander. Ilya can say no to his needs if he wants to. He drinks because he likes to, he fucks because he wants to, but at any point he can stop, and he has, when necessary.
Saying no to Hollander should be easy. But of course, Ilya doesn’t want to. It doesn't matter that it is not good for any of them.

But this is not like when he says Ilya, don’t suck me off while I’m on the phone. This is something else. This is something that makes Ilya scared.

Rose is lovely, she’s fun, she treats him nicely, and Shane never, ever feels used with her.
He never ever feels on fire, either, but Shane thinks that maybe that is good. He remembers falling, some time ago, into a youtube rabbit hole about how conditioning works in animals and how the mice that receive food only half the time they push the button will go crazy with it instead of using it as a tool to be fed. He was like that with Rozanov. Always knocking at his door—at his walls—just in the hopes that he will actually allow him to enter without having to peer through them every time.

Summary
Silco is ready to die, but the universe seems to have other plans for him.
Transported to the body and life of another version of himself, Silco will be haunted by the differences with his past decisions and how they shaped the lives of the people that surrounded him, his own life, and even his death.
While trying to hide who he really is, he has to navigate his relationship with his daughter, so different from the one he knew, and a newly cautiously reestablished friendship with Vander. In the end, he might need to decide if he wants to keep his original path or he is able to face the reality of where it took him.

Vander’s heart automatically skips a beat; he knows, he hopes Silco won’t allow him to reach it without a toll, and Vander is very ready to pay it. They both know this dance by now. Even after the cold shower, Vander leaves the fights always drunk on adrenaline, and since they started fucking he feels driven to him the minute he’s out. This is bound to be a disaster: they are supposed to be working together. Silco is the one that actually has the patience to know which fights to pick; before they started working together, Vander lived way worse. He should worry about that, about not losing him as a friend and as a manager for a good fuck.

Feyd—well. People think that Paul has actually changed him, despite his moods, just because Feyd has saved the lives of more than one and more than ten Fremen. Paul knows, though, that there is no love, not even a little bit of care for them in Feyd’s heart. If them being alive didn’t make Paul happy, Feyd would hunt them for sport just to spice up a boring evening. The only moments that Feyd actually relaxes are when Paul destroys all his walls and pushes him to the ground.
Of course, that’s the part that Paul is not actually prepared to discuss with his mother.
Or, back in Caladan, Jessica is suspicious, Feyd doubtful, and Paul has to mediate to keep his guardian on check.

He has watched the bar the whole day. A kid from this part of the city, of their city dying is not that uncommon, sadly, and even Silco had heard about Violet’s group's escapades—everyone lived as well as they could, so he could not blame them. But it happening in such a notorious way, and her not being an ordinary kid, combined with the fact that it had happened in Piltover had moved the whole under city into saying an unofficial goodbye. To the idea, of course, because nothing had been recovered of the teenager, as far as Silco knows, and he knows a lot.

Some days he will just wallow in despair, and those are way better than the ones he spends feeling hopeful and nevertheless everything stays the same. Some of the days he discovers he’s, on the bottom of his heart, really, really mad. At the world, and at Venom; he told him, his last words were that it was not a definitive goodbye; so where is he and why that’s not inside him.
Today is not a bad one, not a good one either. In a way, he is not leaving New York because the minute that he does it he will have to start to accept that his friend might be no more.

Atreides squats down and looks at him with a look that Feyd is unable to decipher. There is neither pity nor fear, nor a clue as to what in the world he is doing—keeping the last Harkonnen alive.

With swift steps, he leaves the room, and when he looks down, he sees that the wound has indeed reopened and he’s bleeding on the sand on the floor.
Feyd lets out a laugh that seems more like the grunt of an animal, sad and pained, and sits down on the cot and waits for sleep to come.

Everyone loved it, unbeknownst to the chaos that was permeating all of them, especially Carmy, who talks way too much and doesn’t know how to stop.

The bonfire has almost died down, and Ashton looks at how Fearne plays for a minute with a small flame, the orange and yellow licking around her fingers, a soft smile on her face. Ashton moves his hand to it, and Fearne allows him to; Ashton loves a lot that Fearne never judges—she might wonder, but always is a product of pure curiosity.
It’s a comforting pain; fire almost always is, and Ashton welcomes it. He was feeling a little sleepy, but not anymore. Ashton knows, by now, that there are a lot of different kinds of pain, like the one on his head when his friends try to untangle it (bad), or the one that comes from Orym’s fingertips against his skin (good).
