Kevin felt his heart drop as he saw Andrew slam backyards into the goal. One of the strikers, Williams, swung his racket down onto Andrew’s shoulder, and Kevin felt his hand breaking all over again.

Blinking away the spots in his vision, Andrew searched the court frantically. The plexiglass walls made the sounds of the fighting impossibly loud, and it was all Andrew could do not to screw up his eyes from the pain.
His gaze landed on what it was searching for, and a sharp burst of flame shot through his chest.
Neil.

He knew he was running towards Andrew, but his senses had stopped working; he couldn’t hear anything or see anything other than Andrew. And that was where he went wrong.

Pat went to sleep a bachelor in the Trump Towers and woke up next to Jonny in the suburbs with three kids calling him Daddy. Struggling to figure out his new reality Patrick had ruled out dream, was banking on delusion because even though it meant he was losing his mind, it seemed safer than some kind of late-onset amnesia. He didn’t want to face that idea that this really was his life; that Jonny was his, that those beautiful kids were his, and he couldn’t remember any of it. The idea that the memories of their life together could be lost forever was too terrifying to deal with. Losing his mind was preferable to losing his memories.
Started out as a AU inspired by the movie The Family Man then it kind of took on a life of its own.
