Summary
There are several things that the dwarves don't know about the hobbit that is traveling with them. Things that Bilbo is glad to let them find out for themselves along the way.
The first is that he's prepared for anything. His mother used to quiz him about what he'd do in any situation - from relatives to trolls - and Bilbo never disappointed her with his answers. Riding a pony all day gives him plenty of time to plan for everything.
The second is that he can throw a stone or any other small object hard enough to embed it several inches into a tree trunk. His accuracy is uncanny even by Shire standards. He's quite proud of it.
The third is that he doesn't actually say so many proverbs when at home but it seems to annoy the dwarves so he spends time thinking up all the ones he's heard before.
And last, hobbits scold like it is no one's business. The Dwarves he's traveling with really have no idea what will happen if they truly piss him off.

Crowley isn't the best angel there is. Well, in the other angel's eyes, he was probably the worst. It wasn't that he tried, he just got a huge sense of enjoyment in annoying people. And he was just starting to really get the hang of living with humans, and he refuses to let Armageddon get in the way of that.
Aziraphale definitely wasn't a good demon. He hated being evil just for the sake of being evil. He would rather just ignore the end of the world, or not be any part of it. But it's here, and he can't just try and forget about it now.

Aziraphale can’t believe what he’s been hearing. Having decided to return to earth to be with Crowley, he was now getting the typical three way archangel plus metatron lecture about what a disappointment he was and how he was to receive the standard ‘memory erasure and de-motion’ that came with being an archangel who disappointed God.
He interrupted, for the sake of getting it over with as much as anything else.
“I’m sorry, what do you mean standard procedure? How can it be standard procedure if it has only ever happened to one archangel?”
In which Aziraphale is the real Lucifer, Crowley is Raphael and the apocalypse wasn’t their first rebellion.

As soon as Gabriel exits the shop, Aziraphale acts like nothing is wrong, but he takes his tea without eating any biscuits and that’s when Crowley knew he had to say something to him.
After Gabriel pops by to pass on information and makes a comment to Aziraphale that he ought have not made. Crowley tries to prevent his angels hurt feelings by sharing genuine ones of his own.
