No response at all this time, even though Steve is close enough to see Dustin's face in profile- red eyes, lips pinched tight so they won't tremble. Trying so hard to be blank, in a way Steve knows far too well, even if Dustin isn't very good at it. He sighs and adds, "...He wouldn't want you to keep doing this, either."
It's low, Steve knows it, and Dustin's brows pinch together even as he still keeps his eyes trained on the tree trunk. "You don't know that." It's sullen, like Dustin knows how unreasonable it is but doesn't care. Stubborn, like always. "Maybe he likes the company."
[Something fractured in Steve and Dustin's friendship after they lost Eddie. Maybe Steve can fix it.]

And look, it's only been a week. Hobie Brown is not that pathetic. It’s just that this is the longest they’ve been apart in…years, actually. The inside of Hobie’s boat is a cozy mess with bits of Pav everywhere- gifts he’s given, clothes he’s left- and usually he finds it comforting, but tonight it just feels empty without him. Hobie just….it’s been a week, and he misses him.
[Pavitr has asked for some uninterrupted alone time to finish an assignment. Hobie almost manages.

Maekar blinked, confusion knitting his brow. "What?"
Baelor let out a shaky breath, his pupils blowing wide. "The sheer power of it. The pain. Knowing it was you who possessed the strength to break me."
He leaned in further, his voice a ghost against the heavy wool of Maekar’s tunic. "I liked it. I liked the pain of it. It felt… right. To be at your mercy."
Maekar stood frozen, the bandage dangling from his hand, his mind struggling to process the words.
"What?" Maekar asked, his voice flat with disbelief.

Sighs and whimpers fell from his lips steadily, and he yelped when Lyonel gave a playful bite to his tummy, just on this side of painful. The undignified noise earned him another burst of roaring laughter
