Amaterasu lifted its head, made of black fire. It sighing loud and hot like tectonic plates moving, lava-spewing as the planet groaned. It said with a crackle of thunder: The lands tore themselves apart. Corpses rose and fought against the living. A man’s madness led to the destruction of the world, and the moon turned red in eternal sleep.
Amaterasu said as the flames lashed against its severed front limb. I can show you the end of the world.Look up, Amaterasu said, see the Eternal Tsukuyomi.
Sasuke gazed up at the moon, red with a perverse eye of constant spirals. He asked, with a fractured voice and shaking lungs, “what is that?”
The end of all things said the single purple eye. The reason I am here.Series

“Satoru?” The word rings, fuzzy in his ears as it whines like tinnitus, familiar and heart stopping.
‘I’m dead.’ He can’t even hear his own thoughts over the loudness of the world, staggering where he stands, eyes still fixated on the sky, on the sun. ‘I’m dead, I died, I felt my heart stop, this can’t be, it can’t-’
“Hey,” it comes again, a little more urgent than before, a little closer, another hammer to his ears and all the noise shrieking behind his eyes. He recoils hard enough to go stumbling as a hand reaches for him, covered in flesh rather than empty bone, tan and recognizable. Unbelievable.
There’s something wet trickling from his nose. Bile stings on the back of his tongue. The words dissolve into the rest of the white noise as he stares up at the blue of the sky, and tries to remember if he’d ever had a hallucination as bright as this.
‘I have to be dead,’ he thinks. Somehow, he isn’t.
Or: Gojo Satoru goes back in time. He makes a couple of changes for the better.

Summary
Itachi is a shinobi. He lives, he serves, he fights, and he obeys. It is not a life he wants - not a light burden, or one that can be tossed aside as the heir to his clan. He is a pawn. A tool. To be human is a callously hopeful dream he cannot bear to consider while his family wades through a self-crafted political quagmire.
He is drowning. He is flying. Itachi wraps bruised knuckles and tries not to feel like a crow with broken wings. Sasuke deserves better. Shisui is steadily absent more often, and the elders are starting to claw their way to a coup. Itachi is backed into a corner with no way out.
Meanwhile, Shikamaru has traveled back through time and is quietly dismantling the Akatsuki for funsies, but this story isn’t about him.

It’s in the middle of scanning the last bottle of green tea that Itadori properly looks up. Eye contact with him is a physical, unexpected shock, a crunch of imaginary static snapping through Megumi and leaving his hands twitching at his sides.
"Hey." Itadori blinks, wide and earnest. "Do I know you from somewhere?"
The tea sloshes backwards in the bottle he’s holding. Megumi focuses on this until his vision steadies.
"No," he says. "I don’t think so."
In the aftermath, Itadori loses his memories instead of his life. Megumi grieves nonetheless.

“Do you remember,” Megumi asks, “when Gojo-san told us love is a curse?”
Tsumiki hums in affirmation. “I told him that was stupid, because love is good, and good things don’t hurt people like curses do.” She looks over at Megumi, their gazes finally meeting. “But you’ve always agreed with him.”
Of course Megumi agreed with him. He spent more time with Gojo than Tsumiki did, and he saw the scars love left on his soul. He met countless sorcerers in a perpetual state of mourning for the classmates and colleagues they’d lost. He lost Tsumiki once and vowed to destroy the world if it meant getting her back; then he lost Tsumiki a second time and consequently destroyed himself.
with both of their bodies overtaken, megumi and tsumiki find themselves in the same place, awaiting the end.

Sukuna grins, his mouth stretched unnaturally wide across his face. “You really thought the King of Curses could be bound by human flesh?” He tips his head upwards, cackling, then throws Megumi aside. Megumi stumbles, falling backwards into the water. He hates that Sukuna is wearing his face, hates how it’s just wrong enough to make his skin crawl.
“I was biding my time,” he explains. “Anyone paying attention could tell the day you snapped was fast approaching, and you made it so easy for me to watch you.” He appears standing over Megumi, cruel glee shining in his expression. “If you’d been able to stay away from that brat, maybe your imminent destruction wouldn’t have been so glaringly obvious. But no. You fell in love with him.”
Megumi swallows thickly.
“Love is a curse, right?” Sukuna leans down, eyes boring into what is left of Megumi’s soul. “And yet, you could never avoid it.”
megumi's soul shatters, and the pieces are full of love.
