    Summary

It started as a livestream. Then Denmark said he dated half the room. Then everyone remembered they also did. Suddenly the whole world learned that every fanfic ship, enemies-to-lovers plotline, and “we were exes in a past war” scenario was real. Social media melted. Governments panicked. And the Hetalians? Still reminiscing live, unaware they’ve caused a global breakdown.

Somethings are meant to stay dead; the past, relationships, people. Feliciano knows this all too well. An innocent holiday in Austria for Christmas soon digs up painful memories better left buried. Through mulled wine, an abandoned Cathedral, and debates on the romantic merits of Romeo & Juliet, Feliciano struggles to do one thing: keep Ludwig from remembering his past for the sake of his life.

    Summary

To cross oneself upon entering a church is a ritual.

To order the same lunch every day is a ritual.

To scream ‘deus lo vult’ while charging into battle is a ritual.

To listen to the same album every time one vacuums is a ritual.

As it happens, Gilbert scoffs at the idea of rituals. He is not insane, he is not controlled by anyone else, he simply lives as he pleases. What, then, does it matter when what pleases him falls into routine? It is not ritual. It is efficiency. It is common sense.

    Gilbert partakes not in rituals.

An experimentally-styled, somewhat disjointed look at Gilbert’s place in the world. Set in the modern day.
