Summary
200 years.
That's how long it took.
Ever since the tragedy that happened in the town of Oakhurst, a small, abandoned town with its own dark history, no one dared to set foot in it. The few locals that lived nearby told stories of the one night where the trees went up in flames. When they heard shrieks and calls in the middle of the night.
But what the few remaining residents knew wasn’t that of a murder case, in a way, and certainly nothing human.
Vampires.
The folklore about the young lumberjack who wakes to rein his terror over the town in revenge to his dearly departed sire wasn’t all that false. Neither was the one about the castle far off in the woods that seemed to rebuild itself.
But none of that was really important. Not after wildlife had begun to be reported around the area, bloodied and gutted. It was something only an animal could think to do.
