“You can’t fight me!” Tim said before he could stop himself. Actually, this wasn’t a bad idea. Call it cowardly, but it was better than maybe dying, no matter how Hood treated kids in his territory.
"Oh, yeah? Why not, Replacement? Aren’t you meant to be a target?” Hood just shoved his forearm against him harder.
Tim wheezed, but he managed to talk. This was it. This had better work. “I’m on my period!"
Tim has quickly realized that this fight is not going in his favor. Luckily, he has one more trick up his sleeve.

“Nine-twelve?” The kid says, looking weirdly disturbed by the information. “That’s wrong. That’s wrong, it- it never gets there.”
Dick’s voice is grim over the line. “Hood. ETA half a minute. Don’t let Robin leave, assumed time loop protocol is in place.”
The kid goes almost limp on the couch, head resting on one of the arms. “You won’t make it. You’re always too late.”
Time loop. Well, that. That would explain at least half of what the kid was spewing. “What’s the situation, kid?” Feeling uncertain, Jason sits down next to him.
“You die. You always die.” The kid's voice is almost hollow when he says it. “Seven-fifteen. Tomorrow. Today. Seven-fifteen, today morning. I need to be ready.”
“I die tomorrow?” Jason asks, very carefully. Part of him wants to make a quip, but the kid looks like he’s in shock. “Or…” he trails off, thinking. “Did I die in that warehouse, kid?”
OR:
Jason has some Realizations about Tim's dedication (and self worth issues) via the mechanism of time loop aftermath.
This, unfortunately, activates his latent older brother instincts (almost more strongly than his PTSD.) Maybe the Pretender isn't so bad after all.

Link took in the large man with his bright red clothes and shiny jewelry. He wondered if he could get some clothes that color. And what kind of rocks those were in the jewelry?
“I'm sorry, sir. This is my son, Link. I'm sure if he'd known you were here he'd be on his best behavior.”
Link knew by the tone, that was really an order. Dad always said to be polite to adults. But this didn't seem like a “please” or “thank you” situation. Link wasn't too good at remembering all those other manners. Well, being polite was like being nice, right? So Link did the nicest thing he could think of.
“Wanna see my frog?”
Or a look at what might have been if pre-calamity Link had grown up with more freedom and got to hold on to more of his gremlin energy.
