There’s a flicker of Barry in his eyes as he stares at you - or are you imagining it? The water in his eyes, the sad draw of his brows as he almost looks… regretful?
In a blink it’s gone, making you wonder if it was ever there at all. His eyes darken, purple burning into you. Suddenly he closes the distance, lips crashing against yours.

When Arna and Sol are attacked by a pack of orcs on the road back to Ered Luin, they’re rescued by three mysterious dwarves. Arna is half elf, and therefore immediately hated by Thorin, but Sol is a relatively experienced fighter and he’s impressed by her skills. He introduces them to Gandalf the Grey and Dwalin (who just so happens to be the same guard that Sol had a fight with just a few days before), and they ask her if she wants to accompany them on a journey to reclaim Erebor. Only on one condition would she agree - they let her take Arna with her.
