“I sprained my ankle,” he said through gritted teeth. Gunwook was only slightly relieved. It wasn’t the worst injury, but it could worsen rapidly and any sign of weakness would have the piranhas who circle the isle pouncing. Gaston clearly thought so too as he and his husband exchanged weary glances.
“I’ll take him to the hideout,” Jiwoong said. Gaston scrutinized him for a moment but nodded. It was the best plan. No one knew exactly where their hideout was, their meager medical supplies were all there, and best of all everyone would come to Gaston assuming he’d hidden his injured offspring and not look for him elsewhere. Jiwoong got Matthew settled comfortably on his back as the other boy hid his face in his shoulder. Gunwook was starting to worry it was more than just a sprain.
Or, rumors are abound on the Isle of the Lost. Probably false, definitely cruel, but running rampant nonetheless. There were rumors the new king would choose people to come off the Hell on Earth of the Isle and be able to be a part of the picture perfect life of Auradon.

Summary
Hanbin fell asleep with furry fox ears in his face and a tail resting comfortably beside him. He groaned when his alarm went off feeling like he’d barely slept at all. Yujin, clearly feeling similarly, whined, “turn it off.” Hanbin reached over and smacked his phone until it was silenced and then got up, dragging Yujin with him, to start getting ready for the day.
After some coffee Hanbin was feeling slightly more awake and slightly more panicked. There was only a day left until debut. He checked his phone and then had to duck into the bathroom to splash water on his face and calm down because of the influx of comments and articles he was seeing. The main topic: could an all hybrid band succeed? It wasn’t helping quell Hanbin’s own fears. Jiwoong eyed him knowingly and then pulled him and Hao into their bedroom.
Or, hybrids have been a commodity in the entertainment industry since it first began. They were seen as things to be fawned over and cooed at but not taken very seriously. There'd never been a fully hybrid band before the citizens of the world voted one into existence. It feels like the whole world is watching just to triumph when they see them fail.

Gil, son of Artemis (not that anyone can believe him about that), never even knew there was a camp, let alone whether he'd be allowed inside it. As they grow together, they come to realize how unfair their lot is, as Cursed-Borns.

Kevin gives him a measured look before replying, Since I wouldn't want to talk but had to communicate.
"That seems a little fucked up," Matt says quietly.
Since when do you?
He smiles sadly. "When I was younger my dad had a coworker whose kid was deaf. While our dads would fuck around she taught me so we could talk to each other. She was so lonely," he says, leaning against the door frame with a frown. He looks back up at Kevin and asks quietly, "Are you lonely, too?"
Kevin scowls at him and raises his hand to slap Matt, but he catches his forearm. "I'll take that as a yes."

Summary
“Coach,” Neil starts, parsing the words in his head to digest them into something more believable.
Fortunately, before Neil further makes himself sound insane in front of his father-in-law, the door to Coach Wymack’s office swings open, revealing Andrew with a small child tangled in his legs. Andrew is as blank-faced as always, but the child peers at the room warily, his eyes big and green.
Even without words to introduce him, they all know who this is. Coach Wymack audibly sucks in a breath.
Alternatively, when the adult Kevin Day regresses in time to his six-year-old self, the Palmetto State Foxes are forced into a state of disarray. It is as the saying goes: it takes a village to raise a child.

Jean’s breathing comes much harder than it should, even after practically carrying Kevin to Jeremy’s doorstep. His expression is torn, gaze flickering past Jeremy’s shoulder when Kevin whines a wordless protest.
Jean turns his face from them both. “I cannot stay. I—I must distract him before he realizes Kevin is missing.”
They’re the first words Jeremy’s ever heard him say. It’s good to know that the language barrier has been overstated.
Careful, projecting each movement, Jeremy catches Jean’s pinky finger once more, this time just with his index. “Look, I don’t know what happened but I’m really not comfortable letting you just leave.”
“Your comfort is not a factor.”
