Set during The Adventure of the Empty House. Holmes and Watson catch up on the last three years and share open discussions about their friendship.
We sat in comfortable silence, smoking and absorbing the late night sounds of Baker Street which filtered through the faded newsprint. Holmes reclined his head, releasing a finely shaped ring of cigar smoke which floated out before him. I supplied my own smaller ring, purely for the joy of doing so, and watched as it wobbled upwards. The two circles floated around each other before breaking apart and dissolving into a single cloud upon meeting.
