Summary
Riku rolls his eyes. “Sora. We are together. I’m trying to seduce you. Either come here so I can do something about it, or go back over to the desk and I’ll get dressed.” He leans back on an arm, one eyebrow raised in a taunt.
Sighing, Sora drops his hands entirely and shuffles forward. He kicks off his shoes and socks. “Yes, please,” he mumbles, climbing onto the bed and twining his fingers through Riku’s. For a moment, he kneels there and takes in the sight before him. “You’re so beautiful.” It nearly brings him to tears sometimes.
How could anyone look at Riku and not be awed? A living, breathing star; a celestial entity given form.
A year after the events that brought them together, Sora and Riku take some time to themselves from their adventuring.

Mortals speak of heartbreak as if it is a real ailment, yet he knows better. This isn’t that. It cannot be.
Phantom pains strike at him every night, leaving no trace. It isn't until his path crosses the Princess of the Underworld's that Moros begins to learn how tightly their threads are entwined.

It’s draining him from the inside out.

Summary
Silco strokes his thumb over her neck. “We could learn a lesson or two from sharks, Jinx.” Her name vibrates in the air, perfect, hers.
“Like what?” She scrunches her hand into the red fabric of his waistcoat. He’s not wearing the big coat now, she notices. It makes him less imposing, but more inviting. She thinks she likes this hidden version more.
He gives a shark-toothed grin of his own. “We bide our time, and we strike when the time is right. We are ourselves, yet we will change when forced to. The strong do, the weak remain trapped in their shells.”
She turns it over in her mind, sorts through the layers. “I think I get it,” Jinx announces finally, drawing back to bonk her head into his ribs. Lightly. It seems fitting. She steps back, wrapping her hands around his arm instead, a tether. “Are sharks your favourite animal?”
Silco raises his brow again. His lip quirks up on the unscarred side. “I suppose, if I have to pick a favourite, sharks will suffice,” he drawls, lifting the arm she’s holding enough to point at her forehead. “What’s your favourite, then?”
Jinx gets a father, a name, and an appreciation for sharks thrown into the bargain.
