The Sumeru Curse takes over your lungs, Dendro sprawling everywhere until you cough up flowers.
It starts with a bloom, hence the other name for the disease: Blooming lungs. In no time, the scarce, innocent petal will turn into bloody flowers spilling into your hands until you’re drained of your blood. If you’re unlucky, you’ll wake up the next day and start another cycle of coughing and coughing and coughing until all there is left of you is a raw throat and tears.
Ayato doesn’t call it Blooming lungs, or Sumeru’s Curse. No. For him, it’s just his most unwelcome death sentence.

Or, the Slytherins don’t have their shit together and it creates so much drama. There’s also a plot with a villain. Honestly I don’t know if it’s good, it’s just teenagers written by a teenager who’s afraid of turning twenty.

Somehow, somehow, all of it had led to him sprawled tipsily across a sofa in Mike Wheeler’s basement at midnight on a Friday in July. Well shit. If that wasn’t just a little sad.

Context: Vecna has been defeated and the upside down is gone forever (because I say so). Steve, Eddie, Nancy, Robin, Dustin, Mike, Max, and Lucas are having a chill night in that turns slightly less chill for Steve when he realizes he may be into Eddie.
