The blonde, maybe brunet, raider with a large stick swung his weapon around, and pointed the sharp ends of the blades and spikes at Jabber.
Jabber felt a laugh bubbling up his throat, Oh Zanka, how I wish you could feel what I'm feeling now—but your eyes are so, so distant. I feel—

Rin wonders if Sae had ever done this with the blond insect, for he's seen Isagi do it with Bachira and he's long associated Bachira as being Isagi’s dumb emotional support pet, and he's sure the demon was also considered to be a pet to Sae — he's overthinking things.
Nagi was more of a high maintenance plant, if anything. Rin's seen the guy with the Mikage. Nothing like the carefree, lowkey, easy to manage Bachira or Shidou. Rin finds that he doesn't care much.
Rin finds an uncanny companion in a high maintenance plant, and he finds that he begrudgingly doesn't mind that much.

He peers up to find a really, really round face and bright turquoise eyes staring at him. Those eyelashes were ridiculous, Seishiro thinks in the comfort of his mind. The boy? Girl? Besides the point. The point here is, their round eyes, round face and absolutely annoyingly long under lashes make for a really cute face, and Seishiro is oddly reminded of a kitten, like one he'd find while walking home, a small mew coming from the tall grass.
It's also the first time someone has ever started a conversation with him without immediate backing away when he looks at them.
“I'm Rin. Wanna play with me?” the kid holds out the football in their hand, and Seishiro blinks. He hadn't realised anyone would notice him, yet alone wanted to approach him and talk to him. Better yet, to want to include him in some game with them.

Vincent is dead.
At least according to his employee file. If he's going to get his belongings back from what's left of Shinra, he needs a next of kin to come and get them. But the only way to get a next of kin is to marry one. Thankfully, Cloud is always willing to help out a friend and he's not so great at reading things before he signs them. As long as everything goes smoothly, he won't even know that he agreed to marry Vincent before Vincent collects his things and tears up the agreement.
