“Wait!” she finally says. The woman breaks for the cloaked mass, not bothering to look at the covered forest floor. After gaining traction, she trips over an exposed root and falls onto her arms and knees, the sharp twigs on the ground scraping and cutting her. “Wait…!” she trails off. She sighs and her head drops into her arms before the wind slowly picks up around her. The soft air pushes her hair back, exposing her forehead. She leisurely opens her eyes and looks up. Before this extraordinary woman was an even more extraordinary chance; fate - one might say. Before her was a village. She begins to smile.
