Summary
Corpse has never been a fan of Christmas. It’s not that he has anything against it, per se, but his childhood memories around it are less than stellar. Plus, he’s spent more Christmases alone than around anyone else. So, it usually doesn’t mean much to him, and he typically doesn’t bother to celebrate it.
This year, though, things are different for the first time in longer than Corpse can remember. Because this year Corpse is voluntarily attending a Christmas Eve party.

Summary
It’s been eight years since Sykkuno found out that he doesn’t have a soulmate. Well, it’s not so much that he doesn’t have one, as it is that his soulmate is dead. So, really, Sykkuno had a soulmate, and then they died by the time Sykkuno was celebrating his 18th birthday. Some would call it tragic, while others would tell him that he doesn’t need a soulmate to be happy. He’s heard both sentiments over the years, though neither have been particularly comforting.
And he’s fine with it, he is. He has a lot of friends now, and he’s so grateful to have that in his life that he almost doesn’t miss the fact that he doesn’t have a soulmate. Almost.
Unfortunately, there are still times when the reality of his situation hits particularly hard.

On a scale from zero to the-entire-universe-knows-about-my-feelings, Corpse would rate this as a solid holy-shit-i-can’t-believe-i-just-did-that. Maybe even a what-the-fuck-is-wrong-with-me, if he’s being generous.
“Sykkuno, if girls aren’t into you,” Edison says from somewhere in the ether. (And this is the part where Corpse is really fucking screwed, except he doesn’t know it yet.) “I know a lot of guys that are into you. There’s one in particular...”
Sykkuno squeaks out a surprised “what?” just as Corpse opens his big mouth.
“Yeah, I, uh-- I know, I know a couple.”
And then he registers what Edison had just been saying about knowing one guy in particular that was really into Sykkuno...
Jesus fucking Christ. What had he been thinking?

“Guys, he’s so cute though,” Sykkuno says to his chat, because he can’t help it. Sometimes facts just need to be stated, and he’s worked for this. And even though he knows people are already starting to get ideas about him and Corpse... well, he’s never let the fans dictate what he says and does before. That isn’t about to change now.
Except.
“I think you’re cute too, Sykkuno.” Corpse’s raspy voice hits his ears, just as a chorus of ‘awww’s and laughter fill the air.

「Don’t.」Perry’s chest is heaving with the effort it takes to stand; the sweat under his collar is becoming unbearable and, after a moment’s hesitation, he loosens the knot of his tie.
“I am trying to help you,” Doofenshmirtz says unsteadily, “let me-?”
「Don’t trust myself,」Perry signs one-handed, the other tugging and tugging on his tie until the knot isn’t just loose, it’s entirely undone. He yanks it off with a growl and lets it fall to the floor. 「Might do something I can’t take back.」
After being dosed with an unknown drug on a mission, Perry goes to DEI to ride out the effects in safety. He should've known Doofenshmirtz would have questions.
