Summary
Billy’s irritated frown transforms into a stormy scowl as he mulls over the news. He’d put in the effort of feigning disbelief out of politeness, but he’s known George Harrington for too damn long. He’s watched the greedy, snooty businessman topple one venture after another in his desperate shuffle up the social ladder.
Eventually he takes mercy on his right hand man and sighs, tiredly rubbing at his temples with the thumb and middle finger of his left hand. “That bastard is really gonna let his only son die in the name of ten-thousand dollars?”

William 'Billy Blue Eyes' Hargrove is the current operations manager of the Upside Down Lounge and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada - he's also one of the six Mafia Dons in charge of keeping local criminals in line. Having recently taken over for Big Jim Hopper, Billy is still making a name for himself when George Harrington defauts on his loan.
Harrington's son, a fiesty Omega with the world's biggest pair of Bambi eyes, immediately catches Billy's attention. Thankfully for him, Steve seems just as interested... If a little insecure. But Billy has experience with that, and he'll do whatever it takes to woo his new beloved.

It started with cookies. If Billy could make cookies, just simple sweet treats, if he could do that with out ruining anything, then maybe it would count as a first step towards being okay.Getting comfortable in the kitchen when he wasn’t comfortable anywhere else could be a first step towards normal.
Sharing cookies with with Steve so Steve would light up smiling sunshiney like a goddamn gorgeous doofus could be a first step towards a new life that didn’t have Neil and didn’t have secrets and hurt and pain all the damn time.
A first step towards fixing up his heart and maybe a little bump of courage so the next time Steve hugged him, Billy would be brave enough to hug back.

He doesn’t like the way he feels, though, watching Steve’s retreating back, seeing his smiling face when he leaves the arcade with at least one of the kids (usually Henderson) yelling something excitedly in his ear. Makes Billy feel wrong-footed and left out. He hates that shit.
He’s jealous of the kids, too, which is worse. Jealous of Steve’s attention, even though he knows it’s not the same as what he gets in darkened rooms and secret spaces.
