Summary
Itachi used to tell him stories about how the Gods gifted them their powers, how there was once a time when Gods had visited earth during times of peril, how they could send people flying with a wave of their hand and immobilise them with a flick of a finger. No one in his family believed that these were simply fairytales, though Sasuke has seen that most of the general shinobi do. It's another reason he can't form bonds with anyone, their cultures differ greatly.

INDEFINITE HIATUS DUE TO PERSONAL HEALTH
AU world. Naruto bounced from foster family to foster family before entering the home of Sasuke and Itachi Uchiha. This story bounces around from when they were children, to teenagers, to adults. In his childhood, his relationship with the Uchiha's was perfect until Izumi entered his life, and attempted to take away everything he loved and cherished. Naruto was almost murdered twice in his childhood and survived. Both times Izumi was involved. Naruto became obsessed with Itachi and wanted nothing more than to be with him. That obsession and his feud with Izumi formed a disturbed relationship and bond between Naruto, Itachi, and Izumi. They crossed a line and they were never able to recover from. Sasuke loved and cherished Naruto and wanted nothing more than to make him happy. He slowly realized that he would never be able to beat Itachi in Naruto's eyes, and they drifted apart. In adulthood, everything is going great for Naruto. He signed to a record company, dropped an album, and rekindled a physical, sexual, relationship with Sasuke. Everything changed.
