The Santa Fean engine groaned into the wet microphone, causing static to ring through the receiver.
_______________________________CB didn’t like to negotiate what his job entailed. He knew best the limited amount of leverage he had against the force of a machine capable of pulling a 10-wagon-freight train.
But what happens when his authority is overriden by the massive ego of an engine desperate to prove himself?

Summary
The sword had split him in a way that nobody could ever truly understand. Nobody knew what it felt like to be ripped apart, for the pieces to be glued in a mocking sense of what they used to be. Of what he used to be.
Maybe nobody would understand exactly what he had been through, and what he had become. But there were exceptions, and there were people that knew what it felt, even if it wasn't quite the same.
"You didn't know what you were supposed to be." Four finished. Wild sighed, a mirthless laugh interrupting the quiet.
"It's weird, isn't it?"
Four shrugged. "Not to me."

And so, despite the shooting pain that rings all throughout his arms, Sky pulls his shoulder back, shouts, “Four! Catch!” and then slingshots his arm forward, sending the Master Sword flying.

The world is rocking. Or maybe just Four is. He can't tell. When he opens his eyes reality is a blur of colors, dizzying and confusing. Four groans and turns his face from the light, nauseated.
The hand around his shoulder squeezes lightly, thumb rubbing small circles. "You awake, Four?"
Or, A fluffy sickfic. That’s it. This is just Four getting wrapped up in blankets and hugs. There isn’t even a plot here, just a thinly veiled excuse about poison or something to have Four allow himself to be cuddled.
