Fanlore called this collection as the first and primary Stucky Bible for the Captain America/Marvel Cinematic Universe fandom.
Plot summary: Steve doesn't go down in the plane crash, but everything else in the first movie happens. He goes on to marry Peggy and have a daughter. 20 years later, Bucky's raw confessional letters to him from the war is revealed to the public and Steve realizes the depth of Bucky's love to him and his own for Bucky. Over 40 years later, Winter Soldier eventually happens along with the Hydra-Shield plot. After everything, they eventually get together and visit Peggy every day until her death.
Review: Phenomenal work. I occasionally dipped into Stucky back when I was still reading Marvel fics, but was more into Stony until Civil War premiered. The romance isn't explicit, but hung like a ghost throughout the entire story - ephemeral and haunting. I honestly expected to feel more angst, but didn't - maybe I'm desensitized from it all in my old age. But this was excellent in its current form, the authors did not need to wring out the angst to portray the kind of deep love and grief that all the characters experienced. Fully deserves its title as the crown jewel of the Stucky Fandom.

Quinn Hughes is a real American NHL player who went viral during the 2026 Winter Olympics for his statement that he can see ghosts. And the Internet ran with it with predictable hilarity. He is now the haunted Victorian child of this decade.
That is the only reason I was willing to give this a shot when I don't normally read RPF. That, and the fact that he's technically a bystander to the overall story. This was great! I want more fics like this, where ghosts are scary but invested like telenovela aunties.

One of the best Hollanov AU/Canon Divergence/Social Media-combo fics I've read since the fandom started. The entire series is worth rereading in concert chapter by chapter, and all the OCs are loveable. Sometimes I wonder about the pics though 🙃
Short summary: Post-HR, Shane comes out and then moves to NY Admirals after the disastrous results. Ilya stays in Boston. They get married with 2 dogs and a house in NY that I am epically jealous of. They also have a bunch of rookie ducklings.
