    „Oh, I am so saying what you think I'm saying.“

    There was a short pause.

    „Kairi, what would you say if I proposed to try and revive Vanitas?“ Ven asked. „Hypothetically speaking.“

    “This is the path I’ve chosen” – But how could it be a choice when there was never an option?

    Vanitas was no stranger to suffering. Especially his own. He knew about that since day one of his creation. And yet, he was never actually aware to what extent his fledgling emotions went, always denying the impact they had on him. Now, after surviving the war, broken and without his helmet to shield and prevent him from acknowledging his biggest weakness, Vanitas feels incredibly vulnerable. Which was already stupid enough. Him and feelings? Pathetic.
    At least the only positive thing in his negative existence is: He seems to be the only one painfully aware of that secret. Or so he thinks.

    In which Vanitas involuntarily has to learn from his ‘siblings’ and their friends that he is - much to his dismay - alive. And that there is so much more to life than he was taught.
