Summary
Insecticons poured out of the tank, a stream of chitinous wing covers and armored backs, of flashing legs and long-bladed mandibles. The flickering light from half-broken fixtures inside the tank and the Hive-force’s mottled colors made it difficult to tell one from the other. Instead they became a savage mass of razored mandibles and wings, of speed and viciously barbed talons. Screams mingled with desperate shouts of defiance as Enforcers fought and fell, the cacophony of battle overlaid by the buzzing of wings.

Devoid of timestamps or identifiers, it is older than counting. Numbers did not exist when it came into being, the arrangement of sparkbeats into astroseconds, astroseconds into kliks, breems, joor … rotations into cycles, cycles into vorn, each one thing distinct and connected to the next. The memory exists before these things, is born nameless, when glyphs were simple, single things of *warmth* and *alarm* and *energon*.

Instead we get Sonic literally tripping over Shadow's pod and releasing him by pure accident. What's a top secret government bio-engineered hedgehog to do when surrounded by a bunch of people who know nothing about who he is supposed to do?
