“Broke up with you?”
“Uhm, yeah.”
Javy tugs the phone between his cheek and shoulder and buttons his jeans. “I didn’t know you were dating.”
“Yeah.”, Bradley says, a weird undertone in his voice, drawing the vowel out. Javy is pretty sure his next words will not improve the situation. “Neither did I.”
Jake breaks up with Bradley, and won't talk to him. so Bradley does the only thing he can think of: He calls Jake's best friend.

Max clears his throat. “We established”, he says, slowly, “That Oscar here, is a good girl.”, he emphasizes good girl , voice syrupy slow, and Oscar shivers.
Charles’ eyes widen. “Is that so?”, he asks, sounding delighted, looking directly at Oscar.
“Uhm,” Oscar says, intelligently. “I don’t— “, he withers under Charles attentive gaze.
He looks to Max, for help, but Max has crossed his arms, and he’s looking between them, clearly amused.
“Okay, I don’t know—what’s going on here?”, Oscar asks, hoarsely. “’Cause it feels like you’re making fun of me and I—"
“Oscar, you dumbass.”, Charles interrupts him, bluntly. “We’re trying to have sex with you”
And with that he leans in and smashes their lips together.

God, this sucks. Worrying sucks. Love sucks. Caring sucks.
If this is the price he has to pay for love, for being in love, for being love— but then he thinks of Max’s smile. Of Charles’ laugh. Of their caring touches, their bad jokes, their terrible singing in the car. The thinks of this morning, in bed, when he felt warm, and safe, and happy. Their first kisses, first times, fumbling and messy and so, so good. Of dinners and lazy evenings on boats, gazing at the sunset.
If this, worrying, is the price to pay for that kind of happiness, he’ll gladly pay it, every day.

So, Oscar allows his boyfriends to shield him from the world, just for a moment. He allows himself to feel sorry for himself, the fact that he’s given everything to this team, gave them his blood and sweat and tears, gave them wins and pole positions and podiums and they took it all for granted, and left him to bleed out at the altar they built for Lando, lamb to the slaughter.
Or: Oscar needs some Comfort after learning McLaren celebrated the Podium without him. His Boyfriends come to provide that comfort.

Charles grins, gesturing toward the open balcony door, “Shall we?”
“I maintain that this is massively stupid.”, Max whispers. “Why are we doing this again?”
Charles shrugs, clearly undeterred. “Because they made us uphold this ridiculous charade, and this is how we have fun with it, at least?”, he says, cheerily. “So. Let’s do this so badly, they will never dare to ask anything like this of us ever again.”
Max sucks in a deep breath through his nose. “Yeah.”, he says, “Let’s”
Charles winks with a wicked smile. Then he turns to the open door.
“Fuck you, Max.”, he screams, before pressing his hand over his mouth to stifle his giggles. Max rolls his eyes.
Fuck it, Max decides. Charles it right, this whole thing was a clusterfuck from day one, they might at least have fun with it.
Or: Max and Charles stage a dramatic Breakup for their Fake Relationship.
Or: The Friends to Fake Lovers to Fake Exes to Fake Enemies to Real Lovers Extravaganza.

“Charles, left hand red.”, Lando announces. Charles blinks, as his eyes scan the mat. There is a red slot underneath Max’s shoulder, the one facing away from Charles, so in order to reach it, Charles would have to lean all the way across Max.
He can practically see the gears turning in Charles’ mind, and then he goes for it, leaning over Max, and placing his hand on the circle right by Max’s shoulder.
Or: They play Twister. It goes exactly like you might imagine.

Charles kisses the way he does everything else.
With complete focus, no hesitation, no second thoughts, full send. He kisses thoroughly and passionately and without reservation. It’s so like him.
So, really, Max doesn’t know why it surprises him, but maybe the surprise is due to the fact, that Charles is kissing him in the first place. Because about fifteen seconds ago, he wasn’t. Fifteen seconds ago, Charles was on the other side of the room, looking at Max with an unreadable look on his face.

Then, Wade’s hands are gone from his shoulders and he finds himself stumbling back, reeling from the force of Wade’s push. He opens his hazy eyes, and finds himself facing the door, with Wade between him and the gaping frame.
“Sorry, Peanut.”, he says, then he dashes through the door and slams it in Logan’s face.
