“Why do you call Uncle Johnny ‘baby’?” asks Franklin. “He’s not a baby. He’s a grown man.”
Peter coughs into his fist. “Anybody else?”
In which Peter confronts the fact that he has a ridiculous amount of pet names for Johnny (and that Johnny, strangely enough, doesn’t seem to have any for him).

Luna blinks, looking more confused than Johnny’s ever seen her. “So if he sees a photo of us together on the red carpet, he’s not gonna, like — jump me in a dark alleyway, right?”

Johnny and Luna start dating to promote her newest album. Peter may have missed the memo on that last part.

Peter always knew Johnny Storm was attractive. Conventionally, of course. All of the tabloids said so and Peter wasn’t blind. When Johnny would turn his head and the light would hit just right… Of course, Peter only took note of that because it would have made a good shot. It was nothing more than him wishing he had his camera. That’s all it was. Right?
Johnny had been in love with someone else, he’d had a happily ever after with them that just wasn’t meant to last. Month’s later he wondered if it was time to try again, but did that mean facing what might have been the most annoying realization he’d ever had?
What does Johnny’s mustache have to do with any of this?

Johnny blinked and tried to steady his breath. Just a moment ago he was out flying above New York City in an epic battle with his team and Spider-Man against a group of wannabe magicians. They had managed to corner the group but in a rushed moment to wrap it up quickly he got caught off guard with a spell and got a direct hit. The last thing he remembered was Spider-Man reaching out for him before blacking out. Now he was standing in the middle of a kitchen he was unfamiliar with; in an apartment, he couldn’t identify with no idea what that spell did. He would say teleportation, but he wasn’t in his uniform. He was in pajamas with a fresh cup of coffee sitting in front of him.
Still, he had everything under control. Just remember what Reed said, ‘Don’t freak out and….’ He may have forgotten the rest. But he’s sure the most important part was don’t freak out. He can do that.
“Daddy?” Johnny went still when a little boy with light brown hair and blue eyes looked right up at him.
Okay, he was freaking out!

“Kind of,” he says. Peter looks at him quizzically, finishing with his teeth before speaking.
“Then why do you do it?” Peter asks. Johnny shrugs again.
“To feel in control?” he says. That’s where the conversation ends, a form of mutual understanding brushed upon somewhere in there.
