Dazai is torn between his desire to die and his promise to Chuuya to stay by his side. For his part, Chuuya fights to reach him and convince him to fight for his life before it is too late.
Decisions are made, corruption is activated and, in the midst of chaos, promises are tested. In the end, it all comes down to what they are willing to give for each other.

Dazai believes that his work in the world is done and that all he has left in life is to die. Life shows him that he is very wrong in the most unexpected way possible.
For his part, Chuuya had resigned himself to a life of keeping his distance from everyone around him so as not to repeat the tragedies that took his barely formed families from him so many times, when, unexpectedly, a new possibility of a family smacks him in the face.

"I said more" Enzo growls, showing his fangs. Black veins dance under his cold, dark eyes. His hunter look fades as Stefan laughs. The bastard actually dares to laugh in Enzo's face, which turns back to normal out of sheer bewilderment.
"Do you think I'm afraid of a Ripper? Who do you think invented the word?" Stefan scoffs, closing in until he's only inches out of Enzo's range. Enzo have to admit he are a little, just a little, impressed.

Enzo is the one who gets the Ripper virus instead of Damon. And while Damon works to find a cure, subject matter expert Stefan stays with Enzo to keep an eye on him and teach him how to deal with his urges. Somehow something comes up between them along the way that neither of them expected.

Enzo hates Stefan until he doesn't. Then he wants Stefan and is determined to get him. Stefan doesn't know how he got into this.

Summary
Dazai and Chuuya's relationship grows around the things they learn about each other and the secrets they don't know, until little by little 'love' turns out to not be such a distant concept to define them.
However, some of Dazai's secrets weigh too much, are too big, and go beyond himself. And, when they finally reveal themselves, they could drown them both.

He had searched every nook and cranny of Yokohama, even going as far as to check certain places twice, thrice, just to make sure he hadn’t missed him by pure mischance. But, Dazai was just nowhere to be seen, and every night, Ango found himself back in his new apartment, empty-handed, with disappointment and growing concern as replacements for his preferred company.
