The words that the demon heard felt sharper than any sword pierced through his chest. Not fatal, but deep enough to rattle something ancient inside him. His six eyes blinked once, slowly, as though giving Giyuu’s voice a chance to take the words back.

Kokushibou didn’t move. His six eyes stayed fixed on his lover in an unblinking, suffocating gaze.
Ridiculous.
The demon's jaw tightened, and when he finally spoke, his tone was calm — dangerously so.
“No,” Kokushibou said simply.

Or: Second Prince Nakahara Chuuya is a well-respected figure both in battle and in the war room and few would challenge his authority. Even if he has the peculiar habit of bringing his clingy cat hybrid pet into strategy meetings.

Chuuya ran a hand down his face, one eye closed and the other glaring at him in exasperation. “Can you send me back?”
Dazai nodded. Very reasonable question. “…Not quite.”
Or: Dazai accidentally casts a half-finished god-summoning spell. Believing it to have failed, he continues his attempts out of curiosity but only ever summons one little redhead.
