Summary
They were similar in appearance, what with their likeness in hair and scent. The satisfaction that lingered long after their nightly toil seemed to kiss at his scent marks with the citrus that so sparked within the joining of their bodies. The smile that tugged at his lips, thinking of how they’d bear the same scent after their mating ceremony, was ordained by the satisfaction from a future with a family of his own to keep.
It was easy to guess how their child – Qin Rusong - would look like, what with the almost incessant nature of their similarities.

Nie Mingjue gasped, hoping the noise would disturb Huaisang but it did nothing to alert his brother of his presence. He was far too enraptured by the seductive bend of Meng Yao's body. Nie Mingjue so desperately longed to run, as far as his legs could take him, to a land so far from Qinghe that he would never be subjugated to the torment of seeing Huaisang’s drawings again.
Huaisang carefully drew a wet drop of- of- of what Nie Mingjue wanted to assume was weirdly coloured sweat dripping down the curve of his cheeks. Meng Yao peered up from beneath his eyelashes as his body reached outwards in an... embrace. His tongue lolled from his mouth, licking at the thing dripping down his face. It was so obscene that Nie Mingjue couldn't bear to to look at the real Meng Yao.
His baby brother was- His brother was drawing pornography of his Deputy?!
Or the multiple times Nie Mingjue’s acquaintances attempt to coax their crushes on Meng Yao into submission (only to fail spectacularly) and the singular instance in which the crush is mutual.

Meng Yao slotted so beautifully into his arms. The disarray of his robes did nothing to conceal the glossy sheen of his body. Lan Xichen cradled him close as Meng Yao rested his head upon his shoulder.
"Xichen-Xiong."
Meng Yao pressed his cheek against his pulsing scent gland, nosing at his wrist. Lan Xichen shuddered with pleasure as he moved from Meng Yao's stubborn grasp.
Oh.
Meng Yao was in heat.

Meng Yao shifted to Lan Xichen's side of the bed, seeking the solace of his warmth. The brown hues of his curls shone gold with a perpetual type of beauty as the sun's soft slice of light illuminated his face within the morning's glow.

The smile Lianfang-Zun wears is courteous like it was ravaged from the wall of rules and perfectly polished with the grace Lan Wangji should embody as the Sect Leader of the Gusu Lan. It unnerves him.
Shufu would approve of the house he shares with Xiongzhang: mourning white bleaches the room in a crisp sort of light, spreading across like some sort of illness. He feels sickened.
