Wei Wuxian wakes to scars on his body. There are curse marks on his hand, a Wen brand on his chest and thirty odd whip scars on his back.
Only one of them is from Mo Xuanyu. It's an odd comfort to see the brand on his chest, it's the same as it once was. Wei Wuxian has no idea how Mo Xuanyu has a Wen brand on him, the whip scars on his back are from a disciplinary whip and nothing makes sense but he's too distracted to care.
