Summary
He needs to fly, but Hiccup isn’t conscious enough to control his tail. He’s up… well barely, but Toothless knows he can’t do anything.
Glancing up at the water, Toothless prays for one of the others to come and get them. But to his despair, nobody shows up. They’re all distracted, freeing the plentiful amount of dragons on the other ships and dealing with the hunters that are raining arrows down on them.
It’s then that Toothless realizes that this was a trick. Viggo planned on Hiccup coming here to free the dragons, he always does. But he made a plan this time to get the viking and Night Fury alone. He made his own ship look like an easy target, knowing Hiccup would go after him.
He played his pawns beautifully and Hiccup and Toothless both fell into the trap.

Summary
The first time it happens, Bruce doesn’t do a great job at hiding his surprise. It was only a couple weeks after Tim’s adoption was officially finalized - hyphenated name and all. Bruce still smiles to himself at the memory of reading ‘Timothy Jackson Drake-Wayne’ on those papers, trying not to choke up at his third son being the first to take the Wayne name. Of course that was never an expectation, but still, it meant something that Tim chose to take it.
With that considered, perhaps Bruce shouldn’t have been quite so shocked by the teen calling him ‘Dad’, but he is. And he’s even more startled to hear it declared loudly as Tim abruptly sprints towards him down the hall at full speed.
“Dad Test!”
Or
Tim starts a trend in the family of jumping at Bruce at random, increasingly difficult times shouting: 'Dad Test!' to see if he'll catch them. This leads to many shenanigans & then crash lands into angst because of course it does.

“Tim, time to get more practice in.” Bruce, cowl off and frowning down towards the chair Stephanie was sitting, growled out.
Tim sighed but, when Stephanie looked up, there was a gleam of that crazy excitement he got.
He started prepping, pulling out the test tubes (10, Steph counted as he fumbled and nearly dropped two of them trying to get them set up in the holder).
“Don’t worry,” she said as he started tying off her upper arm, “I have it on good authority I’m an amazingly easy stick.”
