Summary
Luffy has always been the type to rush headfirst toward people, as if the world were one big playground full of friends waiting their turn. Law, on the other hand, builds tall, cold walls—because getting close means risking something already hard to keep intact.
For Luffy, talking to anyone used to be the easiest thing in the world… until words truly began to matter, and suddenly they’d catch in his throat.
For Law, even silly everyday conversations were already too much—as if every “hello” could open a door he wasn’t ready to walk through.
Can one badly-written letter really connect total chaos… with someone who’s basically walking order?
Between misunderstandings, stolen letters, and a small, furry messenger, they’ll discover their hearts don’t beat to the same rhythm.

Then—
CRASH.
Impact.
Too solid. Too sudden.
The knarr lurches violently sideways as something slams into its flank with bone-splintering force. Wood splits. Ropes snap. Traders scream as the deck throws them sideways. Law is wrenched forward along with the rest of the chained, iron biting into wrists and ankles as the world tilts beneath them.
Lightning tears open the sky directly above the ship, flooding everything in blinding white.
For a heartbeat, the world freezes.
And in that stark, merciless light, Law sees it.
The prow rises from the black water like a challenge to the sea itself—carved into the snarling head of a lion, mane flaring wild, jaws gaping wide. Its teeth glint when lightning splits the sky, as if the beast truly intends to devour the knarr whole.
One of the traders finds his voice at last, the word dragged from his chest in ragged terror. Even in his foreign tongue, Law recognized it instantly.
“Vikings!”
