For an articulate man, Roy Mustang suddenly struggled to find the correct words.
Every variation the Colonel concocted within his head sounded flimsy, harsh, or downright wrong. Unsettled and sick, the silence stretched between them for a handful of heart-clenching beats as suspicious golden eyes narrowed, continuing to sear into Roy’s soul. Realization reared its ugly head and delved a hand right into his chest, poisonous claws digging deep as it whispered odious remarks. He stared at the boy before him, feeling as if he was seeing him for the first time, an entire week’s worth of denial crumbling away.
This couldn’t be happening, but it was.
It was happening and he had been willfully blind to it like a pathetic coward. He’d chalked the flush of fever as something as simple as a cold. The same applied to the presumption of mood swings linked to age. Even the odd habits Roy had brushed off as quirks or stress...
Never once did Roy think something more malicious had been at play, until now.

I don't have a specific schedule planned for posting each drabble, but I want them to be more or less short to explore specific scenes and feelings over the years of the characters' relationship. There won't be particularly explicit scenes, but if you have trouble reading teenage characters experimenting or trying sex, I advise you to not start reading this series, or at least to skip the drabbles where I warn that such scenes are going to happen.

Summary
A fanfiction based on the NPCs from the Fontaine World Quest series “Narzissenkreuz”. Mainly Rene/Alain, with some elements of Rene/Jakob.
A story that starts from when Rene arrived at the Narzissenkreuz Institute at the age of 8, and continues through the early infatuation of childhood, the passion of adolescence, the bitterness of young adulthood and beyond.
Some details and timeline events have been rearranged; due to the series being written during version 4.0, many plot points may be overturned by future releases of ingame content.

Summary
Senku never cared much to know about his birth father, Gaku Akazawa. The man was dead. End of story. The only things he had left of the man were a bunch of old high school notebooks, a box of receipts, and dozens of CD’s filled with pirated music. But when a man declaring to be his grand father claims Senku has Gaku’s old research, the young man becomes intrigued. Especially when the old man refuses to say what the research is about.
As Senku reads through his father’s notebooks, he begins to unravel the story of a young man much like himself. A man who wants to shine light on the inner workings of the universe. A man who will stop at nothing to know everything. And a man who simply can’t accept the world as it is. Who must fly higher and higher to touch that which is out of reach.
And as Senku reads, and learns, and flies higher, his own world begins to unravel. Because knowledge isn’t something pursued only by the curious.
Senku reaches higher and higher.
But something he must learn, like his father before him
And his ancestors before him
Is that when you fly too high
And reach too far

Alternatively - Senku, newly traumatized, and Tsukasa, constantly internally screaming, yell at each other, talk about their ideologies, become allies, become friends, do science and have to deal with a handful of modern people who miss their old world, all the while Hyoga looms over them.

Summary
Omori is not nearly as old or nearly as wise as the three that came Before Him, but even for the few four years that he has been "alive", he has seen much - even if most of it comes through the Dreamer's memory. Throughout four years, Omori has watched three people die.
There is Mari, of course, the catalyst to all that has happened; the flap of a butterfly's wings, soon to create the storm. And then Abbi, who was cast into Black Space and never quite managed to make it out. Finally, it was the Dreamer himself - fading away into Omori without fighting to know the Truth, even if for the last time.
Now, only Omori remains. It is up to him to reveal these Truths. But when it turns out he is not immune to feeling in the Real World, he soon finds that he has become attached to the Dreamer's friends. He finds himself asking: does he want to do this?
“Now cracks a noble heart. —Good night, sweet prince...”

Summary
Throwing Venti on an emotional rollercoaster was just a part of the plan, but Lyney would be lying if he didn’t say it was mildly entertaining to watch him fluster and gasp adorably at everything Lyney threw at him.
It’s just too easy to play with Venti’s heart, like yarn in a kitten’s paws. He’s only human— how could Lyney resist, really?
In a circus masquerading as a court, entertainment value is given a whole new meaning; who needs to argue the truth when you can see heads fly? Well, if those fools don’t value the truth, then Lyney Snezhevich intends to show Fontaine the final act of their lives— and they aren’t going to get their happy ending.
And yet, when a mysterious stranger with a laugh like wind chimes crashes on his roof, he considers switching up the plan. As long as he can get Lynette and Freminet out of the Knave’s claws (and preferably, out of the country), Lyney’s always open to improvisation.
Still, it’s a little weird that his stranger seems to know his every move before he makes it— and the fact that in the late hours of the night, sometimes Lyney sees his death reflected in their gaze.
