Regulus Black is a master of potions and one Thursday when he fails doesn't count. Of course not.
Regulus was working on a polyjuice based potion, he ended up a crying five year old and someone had to take care of him.

Josh works the night shift at a shitty gas station because he is NOT a morning person and nobody else wants to work alone in the middle of nowhere until 5am.
He notices a regular customer that starts coming in, and refuses to leave Josh alone. He spends his evenings winding Josh up before leaving him high and dry, always with the sweet promise that he’ll come back the next night.
Josh has his suspicions about the regular’s odd, erratic, and incredibly inappropriate behaviour, but there’s no way he could be right…right?

The mound of white, crumpled paper scattered with tiny graphite-saturated balls pries at Josh’s mind. He wants to know the significance of the piece. Soot smudges grace the material. Fingerprints and other smears from the char on his hands. It’s abstract-or so the guy thinks at least. He’s never been savvy with artistic expression himself. Not the visual genre.
But he wants to know what it’s meant to be. The newcomer thinks better of asking a second time.
He wants a reason to speak with the person mastering it all. He shakes his mind for an icebreaker. The last one didn’t really work. Josh is bad at this.
The candy apple fabric of the stranger’s cotton t-shirt paired with the inky smear on his body is adjacent to peaceful wings you might find in nature. Ones which show themselves during more serotonin-saturated months. They begin to hide out like the sun during this season he finds himself in. The brunette lets it slip. Icebreaker, or whatever.
