Summary
His wings, soaked and made useless by the weather, flapped wildly against his back, but his heels stayed firmly planted in the mucky puddles. He flared a finger in Anti-Wanda's direction. "This ought to be taken to roost. You. Bring me to the person I have to snog to get this crystal roof up before midnight. Post-haste, now!"
His furious phrasing brought her pause for a second, and she tilted her head. "Actually, technically that's me. But no matter how many kisses ya hit me with, I ain't giving my stamp of okay on this one. This roof design is dumb, and we need ta scrap it all and start over."
High Count Anti-Cosmo and his chief of finances, Anti-Wanda, have an argument. They decide to settle things over lunch during what, in retrospect, could be called their first "date."

Summary
It's a bit cliché to have a weird on-again off-again with your childhood best friend.
It is decidedly less cliché when said childhood best friend is a baseball star, superhero and single mother all rolled into one. At least you aren't the baby daddy.

“Also, is it just me or has Ultraman gotten hot?”
His eyes suddenly shoot open. “I’m sorry— who?!”
“The 40-meter superhero?”
“Him?!” His voice is alert but hoarse, his throat pushing out words amidst his drowsiness.

Summary
He thinks about what he’s learnt and who taught the lessons while lying next to someone he does not deserve. A series of emulated behaviors from those Osomatsu did not quite respect, but had no choice but to follow. The only examples of what it means to be an adult.
A cold beer after a long day that turns into a case, the cigarette smoke that lingers with it’s absence being noticeable, being taught how to gamble in parlors, betting on the horses. A series of bad choices that Osomatsu proudly wears like the very same heart on his sleeve. He has to be honest; please look at the very worst Osomatsu has to offer. This is all he knows, it’s all he’s been taught and he’s much too scared to learn anything new.
