This is pretty fun, lots of cute, joyful moments (beach scene sticks out). Ending moved a bit fast for my taste but still kinda satisfying. Would’ve liked to see more romantic moments (just kiss already). Should’ve been split into multiple chapters just for pacing’s sake though. Also, I think Monica/Kronya was forgotten? Or maybe that’s how the bad guys found the pirate ship? -

Edelgard digs in at Enbarr, working to undo the knots binding her to Those Who Slither in the Dark. If she thinks of him, not that she does, she only sees every hungry, opaque force that would plot to use her.
When Imperial forces catch Claude stumbling out of the wilderness of Hrym, Edelgard fears the worst.

Writing feels really loose/like the writer is trying a bit too hard to do show not tell, leading to it being difficult to follow when something important happens. Especially the case in the middle + end (last 7-8 chapters?). It is good at times though -
