Regardless of Hiruzen's opinion of things, Tenzo was content to live in the shadows. He was part of ANBU, their sole precious wood style user. So long as he could fulfil his duty to protect the village he was happy. Mingling with the citizens would only endanger them. That was that, no room for argument. But ever since Kakashi was pulled out of the organization Tenzo finds something gnawing at him. He's drawn towards a life he's not meant to have. Towards people he shouldn't interact with. Troublesome feelings that don't come without cost when your existence is meant to be secret.
