Merlin almost doesn’t believe what he’s seeing, they were fighting with magic? He hadn’t thought anyone would be brave, or stupid enough, to start a magic fight ring in Camelot. And not just anywhere in Camelot, but a twenty-minute walk from the castle.
The fight continues until the woman manages to knock a staggering blow against the man. She looks around at the people surrounding the cage and raises her sword while wisps of fire surround her.
She looks familiar…
When she looks directly in Merlin’s direction, he recognizes who it is, even with the mask covering the bottom half of her face.

Honestly, Merlin had thought telling Arthur about his magic, and revoking the old laws would be the biggest obstacles to creating Albion. Really that had all been the easy part. After a few teary, but heartfelt conversations Merlin was installed as the new Court Sorcerer and together they set out to unite all the lands in peace.
Apparently the biggest setback was proving to be their marriage status or lack-there-of. Who knew so many people cared about whether a king or wizard had a spouse?
Well, Arthur has an idea to solve both of their problems, if it doesn’t prove to break Merlin’s heart first. Because how was he supposed to let go after getting a taste of the one thing he’d aways wanted, Arthur’s hand in marriage.
Or my fake-marriage Valentine’s Day special no one asked me for!

The ghost of recently deceased Encanto artist Alejandro Moreno watches his wife fall in love with Bruno Madrigal. A 9 or 10 chapter fic written as part of my series for Encantober, fulfilling 1 prompt per chapter, will be complete by the end of October. The only reason I checked "Graphic Depictions of Violence" for Archive warnings was for the (non-graphic but still may be triggering for some readers) description of the death of my OC. There is not a lot of violence in this story. But there is a lot of angst, longing, and regret.
