Or, Wolfwood forgets that he's just supposed to be some scruffy asshole Vash, Meryl, and Roberto scraped off the side of the road and accidentally lets slip that he can be nice sometimes.
TLDR: Wolfwood and the mortifying ordeal of being appreciated.

Summary
The world doesn’t really feel real yet. It’s a strange feeling, not being able to trust that things are actually as they should be. Wolfwood keeps wondering when the day will loop back to him driving the van. He isn’t sure if he will ever be able to drive the van again.

Summary
Getting stuck in Kaedwen in winter had never been on Jaskier's plan. It's cold, they don't appreciate his music and nobody likes their national beverage anyway. The only redeeming thing Kaedwen has is Kaer Morhen, so Jaskier does what any reasonable bard would do in this situation: he decides to charm his way into Kaer Morhen to hibernate with Geralt and the other witchers. If nothing it will be an experience no human has ever had, fuel for songs and poems for years to come, while finally teaching him a thing or two about witchers he's just dying to know.
Curiosity tended to kill the cat, but Jasker had always seen himself as more of a bird anyway.

Holy shit, so good! Eskel is my main Witcher fave and even though this story is technically focused on Geralt/Jaskier, Eskel is a fundamental character and has some top-tier characterization. I come back and reread my favorite parts whenever I get the Witcher itch.

Did I read a 200,000 word fanfic for a movie I hadn't seen? Yes.
(Have since seen the movie and confused all my friends with how much I knew about it without having seen it.)
It was amazing. OCs and canon characters were all great. Fantastic story-telling, fond memories of reading this in 2017 in my college apartment. -

The fic that finally made me get an AO3 account after 15 years of lurking!
Exceptional Trigun fic! As a Wolfwood lover, his characterization was fantastic. The perfect combination of fucked-up dude who thinks he's the most reasonable normal person around. It's totally normal for the people who feed you to put sedatives in your food, obviously.
Lovely Meryl as well. I wasn't rushing through her chapters to her to Wolfwood, her story was just as compelling!
Was literally sneaking my phone out at work to read this.
