It’s simultaneously the best and worst day of Nicolo’s life.
The best because he, a no-one and nothing palace stable hand, has his arms around the prince, with the prince’s kiss insistent on his lips. The prince who just told him that he loves him with all his heart and soul.
The worst because this is the last night for them to be this free. Tomorrow, Prince Yusuf, Nicolo’s heart, is set to marry Prince Stephen from a faraway island kingdom.

Cocking his head, shoulders infinitesimally relaxing into the back of his chair, Joe taunts, "Don't be like that, love," fully knowing it might earn him, at the very least, one or more pieces of cutlery being thrown in his general direction. From this close, he could do some serious damage; they both could. Momentarily, Joe feels his lips tingling.
That AU where Joe and Nicky are still lowkey trying to kill each other and, just as lowkey, are totally knocking boots on the side. As you do.

There’s a guy with eyes like sea glass Joe see’s all the time. On the train, down the shops, sitting at a little table in Booker’s café. He must live nearby, otherwise, things are a hell of a lot creepier than he first imagined. Joe’s pretty sure lagoon eyes isn’t a stalker though, if only because when he sees him he doesn’t get the Creeps™. What Joe does get, which is ridiculous considering they’ve never even spoken, is a serious case of feelings. Of longing. Of, dare he say it, yearning?
Because, and Joe says this with all the admiration ocean eyes’ beauty deserves. The man looks sad. Sad to the degree that Joe’s overreaching empathy (bleeding heart more like), makes him sad too. Because he has to know what, or who made this beautiful man with his eyes and his lips (plush) and his nose (the epitome of roman perfection) and his beauty mark (kissed into existence by Aphrodite herself), so sad.

Joe is so singularly bright, and Nicky’s only human, he can’t keep looking at the landscape when he has the sun in his eyes. Joe could probably explain it better, with the perfect imagery to evoke how it isn’t about anything else being less, but about his beloved being more. Nicky’s never been the poetic one. He just knows that when Joe touches him, Joe’s warmth, his glow, his boundless love, fill Nicky’s senses so completely that nothing else matters.
