After Yami Sukehiro and William Vangeance take down two Magic Knights turned traitors, Wizard King Julius Novochrono decides to make them Captains of their own Squads, with the hopes that one of them will be willing to work in secret to help flush out any other traitors in the Clover Kingdom. Yami decides that his squad of outcasts will be perfect for the job.

This is the story of Yami building and training the Black Bull Squad to be the Clover Kingdoms' secret weapon. Now if only the other Captains actually believed they existed.
