Summary
What at first seems like a normal day at work for 27-year old ADVENT scientist Gordon Freeman quickly turns into anything but, as a raid by the radical terrorist organization XCOM ends with him in their custody. After some interrogations reveal he barely knows anything about the actual research he's been doing with ADVENT, the two parties decide it's best if he comes into the fold. At first, Freeman thinks he'll be working as a scientist for them...but due to a lack of manpower, they'll actually be having him as a foot soldier.
Follow the thoughts and misadventures of Dr. Gordon Freeman, a 27-year old XCOM operative and neurotic individual, as he goes from intrepid rookie to hardened colonel, bitching about it all the while. Though who knows, perhaps he'll actually make some friends among his new peers?

*MAJOR SPOILERS FOR CANTO 9*
This story deals with the concept A Certain Sinclair brings up during his conversation with the Sinners and Hohenheim during 9-43. I am interpreting this as his Sign being a power that creates branching timelines which are then severed when that branch's Sinclair is called by his Sign, effectively creating a dead-end timeline, or a timeline which ceases to have ever existed.
I wanted to write a story from the perspective of a Sinclair who realizes he is in a dead-end branch and isn't okay with that. This branch starts during Operation Spider Pyre where the major difference is which teams the Sinners end up on for the Nursefather battles.

HanaWeb is a peculiar yet popular website to visit when surfing the City's version of the internet. Despite said website being for Fixer and Syndicate related discussion on paper, it's a popular forum site for all walks of life in the City. From Nest residents to Backstreets dwellers alike, it is here that anyone can share their plights, discuss significant events, or even just mingle with like-minded individuals.
However, there are many Threads that are just as zany and eccentric as the person writing them. Such discussions are an inevitable reality in the City we live in. Don't you think so, Child?

Summary
This page takes a look at Document Number LCB-00-28. LCB stands for Limbus Company Bus, 00 means no central Sinner focus, and 28 designates this as the twenty-eighth document taken in by the department. In the current main LCB Mirror World, only one person survived Operation: Spider Pyre and remains within LCC captivity: Kira, the Middle Apprentice. But what if she hadn't? This document observes multiple different Mirror Worlds all with one key difference: the observation of what would've happened if a different Apprentice survived that day. What would need to occur for the apprentices to survive? Some are straightforward. Others... not so much.
