Alex and Henry had many regrets, but they swore that this one could be blamed entirely on one thing: the fucking coronavirus. The virus that had sent the entirety of 2020 askew and had led to them being there, in a Historical Research class they'd taken to prevent the never-ending monotony of the year. Neither of them had expected to see each other, but with their current luck, it wasn't exactly a surprise.

Penelope of Ithaca pulls a Mulan, meets Briseis, and they invent flaming cannons because I am a strong believer that they would singlehandedly win the war with their combined wit. Patroclus is witness to the carnage and pure badassery of this and is impressed. The gods are confused. Odysseus and Achilles are absolutely whipped.
(I'm sorry for the horrid summary, I just finished The Song of Achilles three days ago, and I'm still not over it. Also, please excuse the historical inaccuracies because there are many. Anyway, here's an excerpt because my summary is... interesting to say the least)
"The tent flapped open, a lonely soldier dripping in rust of drying blood standing at the entrance, golden light spilling onto his figure. A spear, bloodied from battle strapped across his back. The sharp cheeks, intelligent eyes seemed so familiar, a reflection of Achilles’ own features. There was a shine in his dark eyes, I could recognize the mischief of it from anywhere.
'I wish to seek the company of King Odysseus of Ithaca.'"

Sokka had never expected to fall in love. He certainly did not expect to fall for someone during a business trip, nor did he expect it to happen as quickly as it did.
It had all started out perfectly normal, Sokka packing to stay at the Fire Nation Royal Palace for a few months to discuss the economic, and political affairs between the Fire Nation and the Water Tribe during the aftermath of the century long World War. He had become the Ambassador of the Water Tribe not too long ago at the ripe age of 19, and this meeting seemed like a good opportunity to gain hands on experience. It was, of course, but Sokka hadn’t expected to fall for the nation, never mind meeting two people who would bury themselves into his heart in that fateful trip.

On the morning of October 19, 2019, tech millionaire, Belial Sheol was found dead in his rooftop penthouse, seemingly having been stabbed to death. Forensic scientist Christopher Lightwood analyzed the DNA found at the scene of the crime, leading the main suspects to be Alastair Carstairs and Matthew Fairchild. Lead detective, Jesse Blackthorn, has made a statement at last stating that, “Though an unexpected turn of events, the suspects have likely committed this murder due to suspicion against Mr Sheol for the disappearance of James Herondale and Cordelia Carstairs previously in the year.”
Lucie Herondale was curious about this case, and once having begged her supervisors, she was able to shadow the case as it unfolded, documenting it in a series of articles for Idris Weekly. The following is a memoir of the events as they occurred in time, though the final solution may leave you wishing for more. Read at your own risk.

Summary
This is an AU set in the canon world. Gabriel and Castiel have been booted out of heaven and are working as detectives at the LAPD, when they are forced to work with two FBI agents on a recent murder spree.
When the Winchesters get a call from Bobby to investigate two detectives at the LAPD, suspected to be demons, they reluctantly agree to work the case.
What first was a simple case turns into a huge misunderstanding, which leads to home and family.Excerpt:
Across the room, two men in black suits caught sight of the arriving members. Approaching the two, they flashed their badges adorned with FBI written in big, blue letters.
The “shorter” one spoke first. (Castiel put shorter in air quotes since they were boTh GIANTS at above 6 feet each) “Special Agent Anderson,” he introduces. “And this is my partner, Special Agent Johnson.” The person in question was taller than, well, anyone Castiel knew, with brown hair reaching just above his shoulders and an eye color that Castiel could not pinpoint, like a mix between brown, green, and amber. The other agent-Anderson-focused his unfairly emerald green eyes on Castiel and Gabriel.
