    Summary

    Because of a Quirk, one of the best tool any plot could wish for, people start having memories from a different live, in a different world.

    Those different lives have a tendency to be pretty traumatic for anyone involved, but you have to learn to live with it.

    Thank God those I know who got caught up in it have nothing to do with the other life I'm reliving in a messy order, right ?

    Now adults, Calvin and Susie face the end of the world, which Hobbes somehow foretold.

    It's pretty sad, for a Calvin & Hobbes story... Well duh, end of the world. Plus stuff. Pretty realistic, as far as character reaction to said stuff is presented, so yeah, not exactly the usual Calvin & Hobbes story, where everything is crazy, and nothing really hurts because nothing that could hurt is allowed to stay real for long enough to actually matter.
    But it's still Calvin, and Hobbes, and Suzie, and they deal with a version of the Apocalypse in very Calvin, Hobbes, and Suzie ways. If more adults.

    So... Very Serious Crack ?

    1/ Madame Mort

    First part of the plan, loose Madame Mort. Second part, hide Chat Noir somewhere safe- a soft beep from his ring added a bit more length to her stride. Addendum. Hide Chat somewhere safe where no one would find out his secret identity. Third part, go beat the ever loving tar out of Madame Mort. Fourth Part, use the Lucky Charm wisely to get the glove off and destroy it without ending up unconscious or worse. Fifth part, Purify the Akuma and use the Miraculous Ladybug to undo everything and heal everyone. Sixth and final part, find Chat once he was transformed again and shake him until the fact that he wasn’t allowed to do this to her ever again got through his thick skull. The Sixth part might also include a lot of shouting or screaming, she wasn’t sure yet. But the shaking part was definite.

    2/ Mnemosyne

    Marinette pulled at the black spotted red suit that she was wearing, before finally giving up with a wince. It was obvious that whatever she was wearing, it wasn’t coming off. She wrapped her arms around her chest as she looked around the office building she’d landed in. The lights flickered again, then suddenly cut off, leaving the afternoon sun streaming through the window she’d fallen through as the only light source.

    “Where are you, ma chérie…” A voice sang, soft and lilting. A woman with auburn hair wearing green robes that flowed like ink in water floated to the window. Marinette backed up, stopping as her back hit a pllar. The woman smiled, a purple glowing outline like a stylized butterfly glowing around her face as she advanced, backlit by the afternoon sun.

    “Just give me your earrings, ma chérie, and all will be-”

    Glass shattered behind Marinette and a shadow leapt past her, tackling the floating woman to the floor. Their momentum flipped them over and the person- boy?- in the black leather suit lashed out with both feet, sending the woman out the window. The shadow spun to face her and Marinette screamed.

    Those were not human eyes.

     

    EX-CEL-LENT story (stories) : lots of world building, zero bashing, character growth and stuff. Love it.

    1/ Bruce's habit of collecting strays is not limited by dimension.

    Or

    When Young Justice Batman comes across an angsty, seemingly abandoned by his Batman Tim Drake, he decides to step up to the plate and parent the crap out of him.

    6/ Tim may have moved forward with his life, but both his past and his future have problems with the direction he's taking.

    11/ They say it only takes a single snowflake to trigger an avalanche. Proverbs exist for a reason.

    12/ Collapse : It's not just kingdoms that crumble.

     

    Very very very excellent. Plenty of awesome moments, of fun, of angst, and I love every single chapter of the main stories, but the small ones are nice too.

    1/ After Gabriel arranges for Lila to be his date at Paris Fashion Week, Adrien rights a wrong as best he knows how: with a little bit of sweetness, a little bit of subtlety, and a lot of social media magic.

    2/ Soon after Adrien's first date with Ladybug makes front page news, Lila seeks revenge on the boy who exposed her with help from an unlikely source: Chat Noir.

     

    Really reaaaally good : probably my favorite option for dealing with Lila nastilly.
    I don't really like bashing most of the time, being Nino, Alya, or pretty much anyone, so most salty fic don't agree with me, but here, no bashing (except mayyybe Lila, but actually, no, I'm pretty sure she's really close to canon).
    I particularly appreciate that most escalation on the whole retalliation thing is mostly just Adrien and/or Marinette giving her juste enough rope to hang herself mostly on her own : it's glorious, and petty, and manipulative but also, in a way, stringently fair. Except for the first part in the first fic, Lila could have just stopped making it worse at any time. But the worsening was so beautiful ! Thank you for these pearls.

    Absolutely awesome fics. The Gaang, but int the Animorph universe.
    Spoiler (?) : The Fire Nation are the Yeerks, Ozai is Visserk III equivalent, Azula is... Something... Mostly she's like a regular evil yeerk, except, with layers of less awful when you dig deep... and Zuko manages to still be so much of an awkward turtleduck even as a litteral parasitic slug, even in a world with no turtleduck, it's awesome. And Jet is a creep, and takes David role, which works so well...

     

     

     

    Katara is pseudo Cassie (very pseudo), Lu-Ten is pseudo Ax, Aang is pseudo Jake, Toph is pseudo Rachel (with double the warrior, less the natural model), I'm not quite sure who Suki is supposed to reflect, maybe the slightly less rough and more pretty and romantic part of Rachel (but still very badass), and Sokka and Lee kinda share the roles of Tobias and Marco, Sokka being the best friend with questionnable sense of humor and some level of paranoia, but also took the notlit card, and Lee being both the cautious one and not very motivated to risk his life for humanity, and the weirdo who got along unusually well with their first andalite (Iroh is Elfangor), except... Well, stuff get weird, because, as anyone knowing Avatar would know : Lee and Zuko are the same person, right ? Right ??? (or not quite).

     

     

     

    Don't worry too much about the relationship tags, relationships are very complicated when you have to include both yeerks and their hosts and the various combinations thereof.
