Summary
Will hears about it from a friend of a friend. Someone who went to New York in June for the parade and the superior kink scene and came back spinning stories about the vampire he met on Fire Island, the red-lit dungeon he brought him to. Very exclusive, very secret, invitation-only and liability waivers signed at the door. Will presses him for details in the hazy back room of Layne’s apartment, more THC than oxygen in the air. The guy is tight-lipped, but he says he can put him in touch. He writes down a phone number.
“It sounds like a sex party,” Mike says, eyebrows raised, when Will finds him fifteen minutes later and plops onto his lap on the couch, squeezed in among the bodies of their friends.
Will throws his arms around Mike’s neck. “Well, yeah,” he says, voice low. “But are we… opposed?”

Summary
Soulmarks were special.
Movies liked to romanticize them, sure, but they were more than a mark. They were a symbol of a lifelong bond, of a closeness that many yearned to achieve. Married couples showed them off more than wedding rings if a pair of matching marks appeared, gloating to all that would listen.
The marks were sometimes identical, but other times matching as a pair. It would be something meaningful to the pair, typically, something that brought joy.
Mike and Will had their first matching ones appear when they were 6 years old.

The words Spiderman said surprised even him, but Will didn’t laugh or brush them aside. He just sat there, sketchbook resting loosely on his knees, eyes fixed on the glow of the skyline as if listening in awe. “You really have a way with words, huh? Reminds me of someone.”
When distance grows between him and Will, Mike finds a new way to be near him, even if it's from behind a mask.

“Shoulders,” Mike says, sounding vaguely chipmunk-like, and he hears Max barely choke down a snicker.
Will comes back for the summer, and Mike deals with it.
