“Hey, Laxus. It’s good to see you again.” He’s spent entirely too much time thinking about that voice. Too much time thinking about the shape of her mouth when she smiles and the way that her hair falls when she lets it down. Too much time thinking about a powerful little woman in pretty dresses whose eyes glitter when she smiles for real.
“It’s been a while,” he replies. He’s not sure he can really admit the words out loud, yet. Just how much he’s missed her. He barely knew her before he left. How much can a guy be able to miss a girl he barely knew?
