Summary
Somehow, despite living on this earth for seventeen years, Nagi had been blissfully unaware about soulmates and the significance they had on people's life. Unfortunately, one careless remark send him down a rabbit hole of friendships, an obnoxious soulmark, regrets and a relationship he somehow had to men, while slowly becoming more and aware that he couldn't live life with Reo. All the while Reo does not want to talk.
Set during the section and third selection (but before the big game), featuring a lovely supporting cast consisting of: a pining Isagi who is a well-meaning wingman, Bachira who accidentally became a damsel in distress, Baro who can't handle stupidity, Chigiri who is the better (but harsher) wingman and Reo who is basically the last person who sees Nagi's soulmark.

Nagi was his friend, technically they weren’t mated yet. Hell, they weren’t even fully sure of how they were going to present, even if Reo was confident in Nagi being an extremely lazy alpha. He had come to accept the fact of being an omega some years ago. Honestly, not being one would surprise him more. But he was ready to not let it affect his future, he was not going to listen to some random old man telling him he couldn’t get a future in soccer due to his second gender. Or that he couldn’t stand next to Nagi if he was an omega. Of that last part he was sure he would have been with Nagi, after all everyone knew it: what Reo wants Reo gets.

Their sex is great, phenomenal, no notes! It's just… well, Reo ends up doing most of the work, riding Nagi until they’re both done, going down on Nagi when Nagi’s too tired after practice, making sure their cleaned up afterwards, and Reo knows he will not be satisfied with that during his heat if he’s even able to do any of that at all.
Ok, well, maybe Reo has some notes.
With a groan, he sits up and chooses not to think about it anymore. He’s already decided. He’s not telling Nagi he’s going into heat, he’ll ride it out himself like he normally does, and everything will be fine.
Nagi will never know.
Reo won’t let himself ask for what he wants, but thankfully Nagi always knows what he really needs.
or, Reo goes into heat, decides to not tell his very new boyfriend, but doesn’t realize that Nagi has been tracking his heat since high school.

Five simple words strung together in a short sentence, said with the same confidence one would say they could fold their clothes or ride a bicycle—which is especially ironic, considering Reo is the one who does Nagi's laundry most often, and Reo is usually the one to pedal when they bike.
Reo bites down on his tongue to test if he’s awake, or if he just dreamed that sentence because there's no way his ears just heard that.
Or, years after surviving the drama (and trauma) of Blue Lock, Reo and a few of his closest friends meet at a bar where Reo, slightly tipsy, confesses to one of his deepest, darkest secrets. Nagi is certain he can help him out.
