Holding a hand to his lips, the reflection whispers, “This is a magic mirror. All you have to do is wish the truth. If so, that reality will be reflected back out, and if not…well, the mirror will devour you.”
The one in which Kaveh wishes for a new reality, and gets exactly what he wished for.

From the corner of his eye, he catches Kaveh pursing his lips. Carefully, he pulls Al-Haitham’s chair out towards him, slowly lowering himself on Al-Haitham’s lap.
“I have an idea,” Kaveh says, voice lilting around the words when he pulls Al-Haitham’s headphones away from his ears again.
