Summary
Steve Harrington. Babysitter extraordinaire, known kicker of demobeast asses, total dreamboat, and best friend to everyone. He walked into hell and came back out with nothing more than a few scratches. He's big, he's tough, and he's a hell of a guy.
Except, he didn't seem to heal up as well as everyone else after the final battle. He still has bruises. It's been months, but his eye is still black. And is that a split lip?
Or, five times Steve lies about where he got an injury, and one time Eddie saves him.

“What in the world are you doing here?” he then asks, when he got his voice back and Steve, now kneeling on the ground sorting through the dirty laundry he brought, just shoots him a look.
“Uhh…laundry?” He looks a little lost, as if he doesn’t really understand the question.
“Um, yes, I can see that,” Eddie replies, shutting his book, “but why is Steve Harrington doing laundry…here? At a laundromat?”
Steve frowns and turns completely around, giving Eddie his full attention now. “Well, Eddie Munson” he says, putting emphasis on it, as if to prove Eddie’s not the only one who knows full names around here. “There’s a very simple answer to that. I don’t have a washing machine…but I like to wear clean clothes. You know?”
or: It’s laundry day. Eddie runs into Steve Harrington. Something’s not adding up.

“So how’d you two meet?”
When Robin answers Eddie puts a hand behind his ear, leaning forward. “Huh?” he says, even though Steve’s pretty sure he heard the right thing. “You met on Hinge?” he then repeats Robin’s words for everyone, makes a confused face and looks into the crowd. Everybody laughs at that. He’s got every single person in this room wrapped around his ring clad finger. He’s such a performer, Steve wants to lick his collar bones. In his mind those two things are related right now for some reason.
“Okay, what’re you doing on Hinge matching men, if you’re gay?” he asks the million dollar question.

Eddie witnesses a heated confrontation between Steve Harrington and Tommy Hagan that changes his opinion of Hawkins High's former reigning king and sets the two of them on course for an interesting friendship.
Then there's the thing Steve is apparently not allowed to tell Eddie about, the reason he keeps a baseball bat full of nails in the trunk of his car.
