Summary
A few months after the events of season 3, Max is sent to live with her dad in Lenora Hills, California. Grieving Billy and feeling unwanted, the last thing she needs is El and Will reminding her of everything that went wrong last summer. But Max always gets exactly what she deserves, and apparently what she deserves is a complicated, messy friendship.
El is in school for the first time, and it’s better than she could have imagined. She’s involved in extracurriculars, she’s obsessed with an older girl, and she (sort of) has a family. But when Max shows up, bringing the past with her, El must grapple with who she was and who she wants to be.
Or: Max and El start over in California.

Summary
I have had this idea of a Stranger Things rewrite that makes Vecna the main threat in season 3 and beyond brewing for a while now. I was going to write it, but there are a lot of gaps in the story that I know I will get stuck on and end up never finishing it. But I do like the ideas I have a lot, so I thought they were worth putting out there.
If anyone wants to write this out, please feel free, but do let me know. I'd love to help out as well.

تا اینکه مکس بیش از حد انتظارش بیلی رو به دردسر میندازه و میفهمه که پدر بیلی، چقدر میتونه وحشیانه رفتار کنه
رفتار های نیل باعث میشه که مکس متوجه بشه که شاید دلیلی داره که بیلی اینطوره
با تغییر عقیده، مکس میخواد دوستی باشه که بیلی درکمال ناامیدی بهش نیاز داره، اما شاید برای رفع مشکلات بین اونها خیلی دیر شده باشه.
مکس در ماموریتی برای دیدن روی دیگه ای از بیلی، به دنبال راهی برای عبور از زره بیلی میگرده تا قوی ترین متحدش باشه

مکس میتونه اوضاع رو درست کنه- یا خیلی دیر شده؟

His hair is shaggy, grown out of the bowlcut he'd been rocking all the time that Mike has known him. The clothes he wears are different too, softer around the edges, brighter. His eyes are still so wide and green and earnest and the full stream of light behind him makes him look— More importantly he's— The older Will is— He just— He looks good—
The second his thoughts finally formulate Mike almost physically shakes his head to rid them. What the hell was that? What the hell was that?
In which older Mike and Will get sent to the roughest patch in their lives, and current Mike has to deal with what it causes him to feel on top of his already weird, raging emotions. Great.

So Will waited patiently, erasing and going over a part of the sketch on his notebook. Should an arm bend that way at that angle? Maybe he could get El to help be his reference-
“Do you think I’m hard to love?”, came tumbling out of El’s mouth.
Will’s eyes had snap to El, who had gone eerily still.
“Like there’s…something wrong with me. Like I’m…I’m broken.”
Oddly, he felt that kinship again. He knew what it was like. Will knew what it’s like to feel different. He knew what it's like to feel undeserving of love. He knew what it’s like to want to be loved.

Will and El, and a late night conversation about how to say 'I love you' without saying it. Sort of a character study, sort of not. They just really understand each other, even if in some ways they want something the other has. Set before the events of Stranger Thing Season 4, in Lenora.

This fic starts post season 3, pre season 4 with minor changes. Billy didn't die in this season 3, he saved Eleven but has no memory of her or most of what he had done while under the control of the mindflayer. But since Steve and himself had both just graduated, he no longer has 'King Steve' as a rival and has to grow up. Billy still wants to keep Max from seeing Lucas as he's still a little racist. But when he hears the story of what 'happened' to him, he doesn't buy any of it and goes to Steve to figure it out, since why else would he have been at the Byers house that night? Steve must know something and he's most likely to tell him what happened. But he still has to live a relatively 'normal' life.

He crouches, picks up the Walkman from the dirt. It’s a little wet, stray drops of water trailing off the plastic edge and down Mike’s wrist. His lips curl at the feeling, but it’s short-lived because his eyes tear away to the water and his mouth drops.
In the water has breached perhaps the very same thing he’d seen not a moment ago. It was intensely humanoid in a way that startled Mike and made him wonder if this was some kid living in the water. If not for the distinctly fin-shaped ears which begged aquatic rather than Homo sapien, Mike would have believed it.
The Walkman slips from his fingertips and falls back onto the dirt with a thud. The creature in the water flinches, sinking deeper into the water. Through it, though, the things' eyes never once leave Mike. It should be startling if not for how alluring they are.
For a minute or maybe more, the pair stare at each other.
