Finally, their stop is called and Kaz practically flies out of the train car. He wants to take a deep breath but his senses are once again blasted by the outrageous clatter of dogs barking, men speaking into phones, women calming crying children. He stumbles away from Jesper and collapses against the walls to the floor. He clamps his hands over his ears, screwing his eyes shut as a flood of people continue their day, maneuvering around him as if he was just a traffic cone on the road meant to be avoided.

Whilst going Christmas shopping with Jesper in New York, Kaz gets over stimulated.

Summary
"My name's Jesper, what's yours?" He asks over the pounding music. He feels like a child, asking a stranger their name in the school play ground.
Jesper decides to walk over to the lounge area and takes a seat on one of the plush couches. Kaz follows him and settles his cane on the side of one of the chairs before taking a seat before him.
The boy's answer is lost to the loud music and Jesper has to ask again.
"Kaz," Kaz repeats, louder this time.
Kaz.
The name felt perfect, just right for the person in front of him.
"Does Kaz have a last name?" Jesper asks, smiling at him.
"Does Jesper have a last name?" The boy named Kaz retorts, leaning slightly forward.

Sydney had gotten a cold more than a couple times over the last three years.
But never Victor. Of course he wasn't what everyone would call "healthy" with how skinny and pale he was. But he never seemed to catch any normal sickness.
So it was surprising when broke down with illness.
