Summary
Technoblade had been living a peaceful life in retirement with the occasional visit from his dear friend, had been all he had ever truly wanted after years fighting in tournaments that left him feeling drained. He would have been perfectly content with that lifestyle until the day that he passed away, though life had other plans for him.
Because the wildlife around his property are acting odd while the forest seems to move around unnaturally, the man left feeling as if he is constantly being watched by forces outside of mortal comprehension. Those feelings only amplified as he begins to spot a child-like figure wearing a mask that sent shivers down his spine watching him from the forest's edge.

“Wilbur,” Techno said quietly, shifting on his feet.
It looked like he was about to say something more, before there was a shriek outside of the house. Loud, sudden, and unnerving – terrifying, the way that it sounded not-quite-human. It was like- something that was trying to copy a human. Almost there, but not quite, something that was distinctly animalistic enough to make it sound all wrong.
It made Wilbur’s heart sink into his stomach, or maybe rise so far into his throat that he felt like he was going to puke.
“Techno,” he said with wide eyes. “What, the fuck, is that?”

When Wilbur visited his long-time friend, brother, and self-chosen twin, he wasn't expecting to find a family. Much less a family that wasn't quite human.

"Let's start making it happen." As soon as those words fell out of Schlatt's mouth, a bright light nearly blinded everyone as well as the sound of a portal's unnatural hum.
When the light died down and everyone got their vision back, a portal, structured like a Nether Portal but built out of metal and stone, glowing silver, stood right between and before the stage and the audience. They were stunned as a figure came out of said portal, tall, decked out in full enchanted netherite. A man with a familiar mask but unfamiliar clothes stood.
"Where's Dream?" The man with the red hood, wearing Dream's mask immediately asked.
Before anyone could even react or answer, the portal behind him flared brightly and the man jumped away with an annoyed grunt as another man decked in netherite tumbled out of the silver glowing portal. Wild dark hair, dark blue eyes, burnt scars underneath his chin-
"Tubbo?" Tommy muttered in surprise, somehow recognizing him as his best friend.
"Tommy!" The older Tubbo screamed, but not at Tommy who stood beside Wilbur. But at the masked man with the red hood.
Two broken men stay in the past in hopes of a better future.

(Yes the title is from sofia the first, yes I'm laughing at it, I find it funny-)
In which Phil has created the Antarctic Empire from the ground up and takes in Techno and Wilbur along the way, and raises them while also ruling his kingdom. Tommy, sixteen, lives with Tubbo in an orphanage, the two of them running around in the cold streets of their town.
After a hectic day of getting separated from Tubbo, getting into a few fights, and ending up in an entirely new town, he comes across Phil, and saves him from an assassination attempt by smashing a plate over someone's head.
So then both Techno and Wilbur decide to see who this kid is, and Tommy sure is endearing, in the way that the first time they spy on him, he starts a fight in an alleyway over a bag of cookies.
(and then Tommy basically gets kidnapped into the royal family, but like, legally, y’know?)
